Ultimate Blog Party '09
Welcome to A Simple Walk...a blog desperately in need of a tagline. (I'm open to any and all suggestions!)
My name is Kate and this is my personal blog. Here I share all about my life as a wife and stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of 4. Eric, my husband, is a fantastic man, husband and father who runs his own small business. The kids are Isabelle (9), Alex (4), Olivia (3) and Gracie (2). You can read more about me here.
Our family strives to live a simple and frugal life. We love nothing more then just being together, whether that means a family sleep-over in the family room or a day spent outside.
I am a staunch supporter of menu planning, once-a-month grocery shopping and freezer cooking.
I used to be a literary snob. I acknowledge the deeper significance of toilet paper.
Some days being a mom makes me cry, some days one of my children breaks my nose, but I wouldn't change a thing about my life!
In addition to this blog, I also write Cooking During Stolen Moments where I share all of my recipes and cooking methods. I am a co-founder of Happy To Be At Home.
For my next blogging adventure, I've partnered with Share Our Strength to host the Virtual Great American Bake Sale. Please stop by Cooking During Stolen Moments to read all about it, submit your baking recipes, and prepare to participate on April 13th.
Don't forget to check out all the other blogs partying with 5 Minutes for Mom this week!

Nice to 'meet' you. (Came from the blog party.) I'll give some thought to your tagline--I have a knack for that sort of thing.
Stop by RefreshMoments when you get a chance. I've got an extra giveaway going (Afternoon Tea in a Box, delivered to your door). I think you might like to participate in "Ruby Tuesdays" too. Enjoy the party!
Stopping by your other blog to say hi also! :)
God bless,
Amanda
Holy cow! I did not know that you wrote the Stolen Moments Cooking! Now I feel like a goober.
I don't think you need a tag line. "A Simple Walk" says it all and a tag line would make the walk less simple. I don't remember where I stumbled across your blog but I enjoy checking in and reading your down to earth posts.
Just going from party to party to see how others are doing this blogging thing.
I think your header is really good. like the squares!
Have a good weekend
It is wonderful to see you have joined in at the party.
Have an ever blessed Day !!
Thanks for doing this! Always nice to find out about new blogs!
Happy Blog Party!!
Lol. I got a chuckle on the Literary snob and toilet paper reference. Party On! Sorry, hehe, it's the old hippie in me coming to the surface.
Hi Kate!

Hello! I can't imagine homeschooling four kids -- although my sister-in-law does it, too. :)
I agree with a previous commenter that you don't need a tag line.
Your header IS very nice. :)
Nice to "meet" you. I'm a homeschool Mom, too. I only have 3 thus far, but it's still a joyful challenge for me (since it's all relative anyway).
Love your blog! I think your tagline should be "Desperately In Need of a Tagline." But that's just because I inherited my dad's weird sense of humor. ;)

hi,
dropping by from Singapore via the Blog party.
Haven't got a tagline for you..but I'm sure you will be able to come up with something superb.
I would like to be a once a month grocery shopper, menu planning mama, and freeze meals ahead of time. First, it is just my hubby and I now...no little ones yet. All in God's time. But, I would still like to learn. I will bookmark your blog.
I hope you find time to visit my blog.

Thanks for hosting a blog party. While I do not do once a month cooking, I love to cook for the freezer. For me, it is a way to have "leftovers" without having leftovers a few days in a row. Your post about being a literary snob was interesting to me. I love to read and read any and all kinds of books. Right now, at this point in my life, most of the books I read are for pleasure and escape. They are "throw away" books and I enjoy them. At other times in my life, I go through deeper books or non-fiction books. It just depends on where I am personally as to what I will read. I look forward to getting to know you.
Nice to meet you!
Talk about a party!
I'm quite intrigued and am learning how to get around!
Just stopping by from 5minutes for moms blog party!
From another homeschooling mom - greetings! Getting ready to graduate my first. :)
Nice simple layout - easy to read. Found you through the party at UBP09!
Drop on by anytime. I write a humor blog. :)

Hi! Nice to meet you! Stop by and see me if you get a chance!
Hi! Stopping in while blog hopping! I'm loving it. You look happy and well blessed. ♥
I also am loving the disclaimer at the footer of your blog. ;) I so hear you dear! I type how I talk. And that isn't always grammatically correct. Though at least usually spelled right. HA!
Thanks for sharing!
I came over from UBP. Hello! I'm a homeschooling mom too. We're pretty frugal by nature as well, but I have yet to tackle once a month grocery shopping. I'll have to look in to that one! Stop by my blog if you get a chance! God bless.
Dropping in from the UBP to say hey!
Blog Party Woohoo! Talk about fashionably late, right, sorry. I have been sick which left me in a fog all last week, so I am still trying tomake my rounds. Better late than never I figured. Anyway, hope you had a great week at the UBP. Hope to see you again sometime!
