Today Was A Tough Day

And for that reason, I'm going to share what really worked for me today.

I had another post planned for today. In fact, I had already begun typing it up but my heart just wasn't in it. Maybe next week.

On a day like today, after struggling through some tough emotional issues, there is nothing that works for me quite like a hug from my husband. The security and love I feel when he wraps his arms around takes my breath away. There is no place I'd rather be.

It amazes me how I can let go of hurts or anger, even towards Eric, with a simple hug from him.

And that's all I have for today. Because quite simply, I can't think of anything that works better.

Have you hugged your husband today?

i understand tough days and since my daughter passed away they seem to happen more than they use too. Hugs are amazingly soothing and although my daughter can cheer me right up, sometimes it needs to come from the hubs. thanks for sharing your tip!

I LOVE hugs from my husband. I agree, things just melt away when I get a great big loving hug from him.
It's working for me today too.
Hugs.

Isn't it such a blessing the Lord gave us when he gave us our husbands. You are so right that when things seem so wrong, a strong and gentle hug from our husband seem to make it all melt away. Hope today goes better for you.

I agree with this 100%. There really is nothing like a good hug from a husband. I hope your day improves and that tomorrow is even better.

So true!

Thanks for the reminder...in the busyness of life it can easily be forgotten that those loving arms can be a quick fix.

:)

Great post!

What a great post.

Just last night I was talking to my DH about something that had upset me during the day. He gently came up and gave me a big hugged...
What a soothing balm those can be!!

Wishing you a blessed day today.

It works for me too.

You are very right. There is nothing like a hug from your husband. We have been married for 21 years this month and his hugs can still brighten my day and send those wonderful chills up my spine.

I've had a lot of days like that lately. A supportive husband who'll just hold you is so important!

Hugs are the best! I make sure to give my hubby hugs every day.

Hope brighter days are ahead for you!

A Grammatical Disclaimer

I freely admit to consistently using improper grammar in the following areas:
1. I like run-on sentences.
2. I have a tendency to end sentences with a pronoun. (I really do. I can't help it.)
3. I always seem to use passive voice in my sentences. (See?)

I've been trying to break this habit, unsuccessfully, for years, so now I just accept that as my writing style, and since I'm not writing for grades anymore, I embrace it. (Again, see?)
