Wordless Wednesday

It takes a second to place the noise, but once we all recognize it, we go running to the back patio and see this...

That is so cool. You don't see that often!

One of my fondest memories as a kid was watching some hot air balloons land in a field by my house. Thanks for bringing that back.

I have hot air balloons on my post this week too, but mine are replicas.

Great photo!

This makes me want to ignore my fear of heights and jump into a balloon!

Your comment on the noise reminded me of a funny experience of mine. We were camping out in the Black Hills of South Dakota and were sound asleep at 6 am in the morning until a hot air ballon went directly over just barely above the tree tops. It was so noisy it woke all of us up with a start. I had no idea what it was (I was in the tent) and thought for a moment the Jesus was coming back (I think as I recall my mother-in-law thought the same thing). When we got out of our tent we saw that it was a hot air balloon.

A Grammatical Disclaimer

I freely admit to consistently using improper grammar in the following areas:
1. I like run-on sentences.
2. I have a tendency to end sentences with a pronoun. (I really do. I can't help it.)
3. I always seem to use passive voice in my sentences. (See?)

I've been trying to break this habit, unsuccessfully, for years, so now I just accept that as my writing style, and since I'm not writing for grades anymore, I embrace it. (Again, see?)
