It's Fun Being Brother and Sister
Alex and Olivia are 10 months and 13 days apart. So, just about as close as you could get without having twins. They have an amazing relationship and have right from the start. Eric and I just love watching their play mature as they get older. They do fight though. Somedays, it seems like that is all they do. Alex is a heart-on-his-sleeve kind of boy, who tends to go in for the drama, while Olivia has a servants-heart but a fiercely independent streak. She also doesn't take anything from her older brother. She can reach out and pinch him faster than the human eye can see.
As I was looking through some pictures on the computer today, I noticed just how many we have of them two of them together, and what an awesome display they are of the power of love between a brother and sister. So here is Alex & Olivia the First 3 Years: A Retrospective.
Alex has been a fiercely loving brother right from the start. Olivia, on the other hand, is always a bit more hesitant.
One thing they have both always enjoyed is picking on their older sister.
They just like being together. Anything can become a game when you have your brother or sister to share it with.
After Gracie was born, together they both took on the very important job of older brother & older sister. They love to help out with her in any way they can.
And, they still really love to pick on their older sister.
Reading and writing are much more fun when done as a pair!
And last but not least, for some reason which I'm sure I'll never fully understand, finger-painting a chocolate pudding beard on yourself is about the most fun you could ever have, especially when your partner-in-crime is your brother or sister!

Aww.. so adorable! :) I didn't realize they were so close in age. How fun!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Let me know how those corn chips turn out- I've never made them before! :) I've had the recipe bookmarked for quite awhile, and finally decided to make them!
Blessings,
Michele :)

How VERY sweet. My older two are 17 months apart and I thought they were CLOSE! They fight, but do play well together. However, my son and his younger sister can't seem to be in the same room together for more than 10 seconds before someone is yelling or crying. Sigh...This too shall pass. I know when they get older they will be friends (they remind me of my brother and I when we were little!)
Blessings-Andie
Ten months and 13 days. Oh my. What a fun experience it will be for them though as they grow up. Maybe a little less so for big sis seeing as how she'll have double the trouble to deal with! :)
Beautiful children!
