Sibling Love

Like all kids, our kids fight with each other. They get on each other's nerves. (Not to mention mine!) They have to be told to keep their hands to themselves or to not be mean more times than I can count.

But sometimes, every once in a great while, their love for each other is palpable. And that is most definitely a finer thing!

I love to hear the uncontrollable laughter when they are gasping for breath and grabbing their sides b/c they are so exhausted by laughter!

Great picture! I wrote about sibling love for Gratituesday once! That post is here: http://parentingthetiniestofmiracles.blogspot.com/2009/09/sibling-love.html

You are absolutely right about the pure joy of seeing your children enjoy each other... it's priceless!

Oh, how I know what you mean. My kids are now older, six of them ranging from 29 down to 17, and there were a few times when they were younger, that I wondered if they would ever love each other. Now, I watch and just smile, when they help each other...move to a new apartment, give the wayward younger brother a place to sleep or a ride, build, or do yard work, be a chauffer to a prom, babysit their children, take them bowling, go camping together, transport goodies to the one with a hubby and kids out of state, watch a movie, fix a computer, take a portrait, play a video game...oh, when they grow up and all love each other...it makes all the little differences of little ones so very, very worth it!

It is funny how hot and cold the sibling love runs! Love that picture!

I am so happy to see a picture of kids. I grow up alone i don't have siblings. I don't know the feeling to have a brother and sister , so my childhood is not really fun.

A Grammatical Disclaimer

I freely admit to consistently using improper grammar in the following areas:
1. I like run-on sentences.
2. I have a tendency to end sentences with a pronoun. (I really do. I can't help it.)
3. I always seem to use passive voice in my sentences. (See?)

I've been trying to break this habit, unsuccessfully, for years, so now I just accept that as my writing style, and since I'm not writing for grades anymore, I embrace it. (Again, see?)
