Crooked Lines

We thought we had it all figured out.

Four hands...a child for each hand.

The maternity clothes given away. Several important items on loan to good friends.

We were done. A nice and tidy little family of 6.

But our plans are not His plans.

God writes straight with crooked lines.
(Thanks for that, Mom!)
On or around October 19th, our family of 6 will become a fantastic family of 7.

The shock has worn off and now we are thrilled and feeling blessed beyond measure.

Stop by Amy's Finer Things for more Finer Things Friday.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways higher than our ways.

I love those verses in Isaiah 55 too!

Praise God for your precious #5.

Congrats, I bet that was as you said, something that took a while to grasp. I had the same feeling when presented with my crooked line after my second son was already 12! :-)

So exciting. :) I'll have to remember that the next time we encounter crooked lines.

Congratulations! That is very exciting. We have 4 children and I have been thinking we should be done due to age and other factors. I am getting ready to sell/give away all of our baby things. I have wondered if doing so would just insure we have another. We would be thrilled if we were blessed with another one, but it would be kind of ironic. Anyway, blessings to you and I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy.

Know the feeling. We are a family of 6 prepareing to become a family of 7 in September. It has taken awhile to get over the shock, but we know it is HIS perfect plan for us and we are growing to love the plan, too.

Congrats! We had a surprise with our #4 and I have to say, I don't regret a thing. She is wonderful. Enjoy!

Apparently God thinks you need a fifth blessing! Congrats. Hope it's an easy pregnancy.

Congrats. God is good and certainly has His plan for us!

A Grammatical Disclaimer

I freely admit to consistently using improper grammar in the following areas:
1. I like run-on sentences.
2. I have a tendency to end sentences with a pronoun. (I really do. I can't help it.)
3. I always seem to use passive voice in my sentences. (See?)

I've been trying to break this habit, unsuccessfully, for years, so now I just accept that as my writing style, and since I'm not writing for grades anymore, I embrace it. (Again, see?)
